Site Information

Location:

Barataria Bay is held on the After Worlds site. This is west of Eugene Oregon in the small town of Noti or as we like to pronounce it naughti ;-). The event site is on private property and is right off Poodle Creek Road. This location is remote and located in the forest. Please cum prepared to camp and frolic in a forest setting.  90701 Poodle Creek Road, Noti OR 97461

Cell Reception:

Fast forward to the past and put mundania in the rear view mirror. We are a secluded event deep in the forest. As such cell reception on site is extremely limited.  I restate for clarity there is virtually no cell service on this site for 99% of the people attending. Please make plans accordingly.

Utilities:

Our event is an environmentally friendly event with a tread lightly mantra. We want to leave the site better then we find it.

    • Toilets: We will provide portable outhouses (biffies) for everyone to use. There will be ADA and regular biffies on site and we ask that only those who need ADA facilities use the ADA biffies. Using  the ADA facilities when it’s not needed, uses a resource needed by certain members of our community and potentially leaves them without facilities when they are filled by those who don’t need it. There are 3x as many regular biffs as there are ADA biffs. Please be companionate!
    • Electricity: There is no source of utility electric on site. You are responsible for all your electric needs. Quiet generators are welcomed see The Community Experience to understand the guidelines about generator use.
    • Water: There is no water on site please bring all your water needs.
    • Refuse: Because we are in the woods, professional trash services are extremely expensive. We ask that you pack out all of what you will bring in. This is a you pack it in, you pack it out event.
    • Roads: The roads are a mowed grassy field. Lowered vehicles may experience difficulties. Feel free to ask the Port Authority if you think you might have issues.
    • Camp Ground: Is grassy field most of the year and mowed for events. The area is uneven with some ruts as you might expect with any field. The land is fairly soft and should receive a tent stake without issues. We suggest you bring a dirt rake and a shovel or hoe to level off any bumps that might inconvenience you.

Remote Location No Data for Credit Card:

Due to the nature of the events location we recommend all attendees bring cash to spend vs debit and credit cards.

River:

The Long Tom River is adjacent to the property and is not recommended by the property owner for consumption or bathing, the water is compromised.

Emergency Services:

Services for this site are out of Eugene and are covered by Lane County Sheriff and Oregon Department of Forestry. 911 is the number to call if there is an emergency while onsite.

Pets:

We welcome you to bring your pets for enjoyment . Pets are not allowed in event spaces such as but not limited to dungeons, firepits, staff areas. Warning: Period black powder demonstrations will be employed during the event and can cause some pets anxiety. We encourage you to think about what is best for your pet. ADA Service Animal:  Welcome in any part of the event. We ask that your service animal be kept under control as our event has many unique loud noise that can cause disruptive behaviors from some animals.
