Registration

The path to adventure begins here...

If you are at the point where you are interested in attending the event, the steps laid out below are what you need to know to get registered.

At Black Sails Adventures registration is more than simply buying tickets and showing up. We have set up our website so that it takes you through most of the questions you might have prior to purchase. Understanding what you are signing up for is important for a fun and exciting time at Black Sails Adventures.

If you have explored our site and think this event is for you we encourage you to continue, if you haven’t had the time to check out the website then hold off on registering. Take the time to review the site and make sure this is for you.

You have been warrned!

You can skip to buying your tickets (Step 2), and return later but you MUST return and finish registration or you will be turned away once on site without a refund!

The 6 registration steps are as follows:

      • Reading and understanding the Community Experience, you will be held accountable for adhearing to it.
      • Purchasing your tickets
      • Receiving your tickets and your credentials to our registration modules which consist of the following:
        • NCA (Nautical Commerce Authority)
        • Volunteer Registration
        • Camping Registration

Step 1

The Community Experience

We ask everyone who attends to read and understand the Community Experience. These are the expectations we have all agreed to for each other. This document has taken the input from the community to create, and even today we still take input. This is why we call this a living document, as it is constantly changing to fit what the community sees is the best path for the community and the event at large. There is tons of critical information for you in there to ensure you have an excellent event. By purchasing a ticket you are agreeing to uphold the Community Experience.

Step 2

Purchasing your tickets

Attendees with RV’s do NOT buy tickets until you have read our camping section. Please contact our Land Steward via the Port Authority office if you have addtional questions.

This step is pretty straight forward, click on the ticket and it will take you to our store.

BEFORE you click the ticket icon you will need the following information for you and each of your mates your buying tickets for:

      • Legal First Name
      • Legal Last Name
      • Email Address
      • Pirate, Scene, or Event Name
      • State Issued ID Number
      • Telephone Number

Just so you know you are not just securing your tickets, but also providing the data for your NCA account. We automatically generate your account when you purchase your tickets. Guessing or shenanigans here can delay entry, cause banking issues, or potentially void entry without refund.

Once you have paid for your ticket, cum back here and head to the next step.

Step 3

Receiving your tickets, credentials, and receipt

Go to your email and locate the emails we just sent you. Their subject lines are:

        • Congratulations on your first steps to adventure! (Credentials & Tickets)
        • Your Black Sails Adventures order is now complete (Receipt)

Don’t delay, as soon as you purchase your tickets you should find these emails. Check in your spam folders. If that doesn’t work use your emails search function with the subject lines as the search query.

So you will need to print your tickets. There is additional information that is private to attendees that is on the bottom, you can keep a secret? I have me eye on you.

If you found all your emails head to step 4!

Step 4

Logging in to the NCA

Returning Attendees:

If this is your second season with us and you remember your credentials you can head to the next step!

First Timers:

Let’s get you educated on what the NCA is and get you logged in. Click the NCA logo, read the information about the NCA and when done, click the link at the bottom of that page and use your new credentials to login to the NCA module. Once logged in, look around, this is your banking interface. You can transfer money to any attendee, bribe officials, and check your accounts here. Once you’re done poking around, cum back here and head to the next step.

Step 5

Volunteering

So step 5 is pretty easy. Click The House icon,  read the description of the what and whys of volunteering, it’s an important step to registration. Then click the link at the bottom of that page. You will need your credentials to log in to the Volunteer module. Once logged in sign up for the shifts that excite you the most.  We suggest a minimum of 4 hours. When complete cum back here and head to the next step.

Step 6

Camping

This is the last step and like all the others, it is an important step to registering for the event. Everyone who attends will need a camping spot unless you are sleeping off site. Click the camping icon, read about our different camping opportunities. Once you’re done reading the page, click the Camping Reservation module button at the bottom. Log in, and reserve yourself a camping spot. Don’t forget to assign anyone who’s camping with you to your camp spot. Everyone must have a camp spot!

When you’re done that’s it! We assume that you have already seen the rest of our website prior to deciding to register. If not please take the time to visit the pages you haven’t seen. Every one of our pages has value to each of our attendees.

Step 7

Please remember it is your responsibility to teach anyone you bought tickets for all the information you have learned here.

We cannot tell you how many times we have run into people who have no clue about our policies or even the information you have learned completing these steps. Please teach everyone you are paying for what you have learned so their experience isn’t altered because they didn’t know something they should have already learned.
