Site Information

Location

Black Sails Adventures is held on a new site. This is west of Eugene Oregon in the small town of Blanchy. The event site is on private property and is right off Horton Road. This location is remote and located in the forest. Please cum prepared to camp and frolic in a forest setting.  93740 Horton Rd, Blachly, OR 97412.

Cell Reception

We are a secluded event deep in the Oregon forest. As such cell reception on site is nonexistent. I restate for clarity there is no cell service on this site. Please make plans accordingly to include bringing cash for vendors. Vendors will have Wi-Fi but again it is the forest and the Wi-Fi could fail, be prepared.

Utilities

Our event is an environmentally friendly event with a tread lightly mantra. We want to leave the site better than we found it.

      • Toilets: We will provide portable outhouses (biffies) for everyone to use. ADA biffs will be available throughout the event site.
      • Electricity: There is no source of utility electricity on site. You are responsible for all your electrical needs. Quiet generators are welcomed see The Community Experience to understand the guidelines about generator use.
      • Water: We will have a tank of water on site for drinking water. We ask that this water is only used for drinking purposes. Hail Hydration!
      • Refuse: Because we are in the woods, professional trash services are extremely expensive. We ask that you pack out all of what you will bring in. This is a you pack it in, you pack it out event.

Site Property

      • Parking: All attendees will be required to park in the parking area. Parking anyplace other than the parking area will subject you to being towed, you will be allowed to bring your vehicle onsite to drop off your campsite supplies at the beginning of the event. The Maximum amount of time is 30 minutes. After Saturday at noon vehicles are not permitted back on site unless you are leaving the event for good.

      • Roads: The roads of the event are a mowed grassy field. Non-stock lowered vehicles may experience difficulties. Feel free to ask the Port Authority if you think you might have issues.
      • Bridge: We have a bridge on the property to get from parking to camping. The bridge is 9’7″ wide, we can assist anyone who needs help crossing the bridge. Just for perspective a Ford F-350 Super Duty Dually is 8.5 foot wide which is also the legal limt.

Camping

Our camping area is a grassy field most of the year and mowed for events. The area is uneven with some ruts as you might expect with any field. The land is fairly soft and should receive a tent stake without issues. We suggest you bring the following:

      • Dirt rake – to level the ground
      • Spade Shovel – for fire and to level the ground
      • Hammer – to pound stakes
      • Vice grips – to remove stakes

Please see the Camping page of our website to learn more about arraigning a camping spot.

Remote Location

Due to the nature of the event’s location, we recommend all attendees bring cash to spend vs debit and credit cards. The event does its best to provide internet for vendors, but we too are at the mercy of our tech to ensure service.

The River

Lake creek runs through the property and is a freshwater source you can use to drink from as well as recreate in. There are no lifeguards or staff monitoring you at the river, enter at your own risk.

Emergency Services:

Services for this site are out of Eugene and are covered by Lane County Sheriff and Oregon Department of Forestry. 911 is the number to call if there is an emergency while onsite.

Disability Services:

Black Sails Adventures provides several accommodations in a desire to include as many as possible in our event. Services include :

      • ADA Biffies
      • Parking Accommodations
      • Camping Accommodations
      • Compassionate Staff

Unfortunately our event grounds are not ADA accessible. Our event is in a grass field that is naturally uneven. It also has soft areas where some wheelchairs might have difficulties. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on our social media sites or you can email us directly at our customer service with any questions or concerns you may have.

Pets:

We welcome you to bring your pets for enjoyment in your camping location. Pets are not allowed outside of your camp. Warning: Black powder will be employed during the event and can cause some pets anxiety. The temperatures can reach in excess of 100 degrees during this time of year, it is unlikely, but it has happened. We encourage you to think about what is best for your pet. ADA Service Animal:  Are welcomed in any part of the event. We ask that your service animal be kept under control as our event has many unique loud noises that can cause disruptive behaviors from some animals. If your service animal does things that are disruptive to a scene, we will ask you to take them outside or away from the space.
